Description:
In this online learning project, high school Honors Geometry students' experience with two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects is extended to include informal explanations of circumference, area, volume, and composite shapes. Additionally, students apply their knowledge of surface area and volume of a composition objects to create a visual representation of a design problem and solve given certain constraints using a geometric model (graph, equation, table, formula).
Tutorial:
Keywords:
area, circumference, volume, surface area, composite figure (2D), prism, cylinder, cone, sphere, and composite object (3D).
Grade Level: 9-10
Curriculum: Honors Geometry
